All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement that you will receive upon booking confirmation or when collecting the vehicle. This agreement outlines specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, applicable charges, and your responsibilities during the rental period. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Requirements for Vehicle Rental
- To hire a vehicle in Wishaw, drivers must be at least 21 years old, though age restrictions can differ based on the vehicle type, with potential extra fees for those under 25. A valid full driving licence suitable for the vehicle category is required, held for the duration stated in the Rental Agreement. 3. Reservations and Payments
- Reservations can be completed via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Wishaw office. A deposit might be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining payment and a security deposit are usually required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are displayed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT when applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment platforms.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

A vehicle condition report will be created and must be signed by both parties. - The vehicle must not be used for illegal activities or purposes. This includes racing, off-roading, and any hazardous driving situations. Transporting dangerous materials is prohibited. Sub-letting the vehicle or allowing unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. The vehicle should only be used as intended, adhering to passenger and weight limits. Operating the vehicle outside of the agreed geographical boundaries requires prior approval.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and fees.
Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by law in Scotland, Car Hire Wishaw is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, that may arise from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the total amount paid for your rental in the past year. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence or fraud.

These Terms are regulated by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the respective courts in this region.
